Hey yall!! The job search continues. Im waiting to hear back from a place tomorrow about a part time job and I applied to a temp agency. SO they should get me some work soon. Other than that, things are great. I am staying with another graduate from GCSU and we are going to move into together at the beginning of march.
I will say that God is definately testing the patience with the job search. Of course, I am the one that up and left Georgia without an apartment, without a job, to try to break into the television industry in NEW YORK CITY in the middle of a strike!!! Yeah, I made it easy. I didnt complicate things at all...lol...but if I can give some words of advice (if you dont want to HEAR my advice then your in luck because I will be typing it instead of speaking it).
Advice: Just do it. Seriously. Especially if you want to live in one of the weirdest most non-normal cities in the world. You just have to do it. Sell your car. You wont need it. Get a nice bookbag or feau-designer handbag, getcha a map of the city and just do it. There is no easing into it, walking in the shallow in, weening into the situation. Take a dive.
So I will let you know when i resurface from the deep in and have a job and a permanent place to live. Have a great day and stay warm/cool wherever you are!

Bite or get bitten?
Wow, So I am terribly sorry I have not updated since November 18th...haha....oops. So I have decided to stay in New York....yippee!!!!! I just feel that my time up here is not finished and that the big apple has not yet experienced Tyler Flowers the way it needs too.
So heres the plan. I am staying with some friends right now and am applying to jobs. I interviewed at the Late Show to be a Page so that is one iron in the fire. Oh, Pages work with the audience department and are very influential in the show process. I will give more details later. So hopefully that will come through and even though its part time, I will have income and can start to look for my own apartment!!!! YAYYY!!!!! This makes me happy. Its been too long that I have had to live in a place that I knew I would have to move out of in at least 4 months. No more moving!! Im done...Im finding a place and Im gonna cook, get a dog, a bed and a tv and Ill be happy. Ok, so thats the plan right now but of course there is alot more that goes with being on my own than just having my own place and getting a dog.
Lets see:
Start my own cell phone plan (with unlimited texting)
Pay for my own health insurance
Continue to pay credit card
....uuummmm....I know theres more but I dont want to think about it right now...so theres an update.
Im gonna try and keep this updated at least once a week, maybe two or three times a week....oooohhhhh...can I put my money where my mouth is?...lol
Ok, so theres the story. Im trying to take a bite out of the big apple so we will see what happens..Later.

Hey Yall
Hey yall, My friend Leslie and her mom came up this weekend to visit and I must say it was nice to hear some beautiful southern accents for a change of pace. After hanging out with them I called "The Phil" (I think Im going to refer to him like that for now on...I dont know why but....I just want to) and we saw No country for Old Men...I have never been so confused at a movie but yet I was enthralled all at the same time!!! It was beautiful movie and it made sense but a few of the events that took place left me thinking.."Huh?". We met a guy that said the Cohen Brothers, the directors, are known for having plot holes, so that made it better. Then me and "the Phil" parted ways and I went back home and watched The Ghostbusters. Its been a good weekend and I finally made it back to church!!!!
I have tried to make it to church the past 3 weeks and the trains have made me sooo late I didnt even go in to the building but today I made it!!!!!!
ALso, My parents are coming up this week and I am sooooooooooo excited!!! Its been three months since I even looked at them so it should be a good week and with the strike going on, I have a little extra time to spend with them.
Jake and Sean, my fish, are doing quite well. They are messy though...they crap alot...maybe I feed them too much and I guess hamburgers arent the best thing to give fish...just kidding...or am I?
Ok so, its a pretty boring report but at least I didnt make you wait two weeks.
Till next time, keep it real homeys.

I strike, you strike, we all strike....yep...thats about what it seems
Ok, so I havent blogged in a while.....and Im sorry.
Well, lets see what else can I talk about...OH!!! There are two new additions to the Flowers family, Jake and Sean. They are goldfish who were featured in a magic trick performed by Penn and Teller on The Late Show. The trick used 135 goldfish so the fish were dispersed amongst various Late Show Staffers. My boss pampers his fish. He thinks the New York water would kill them so he puts them in Poland spring water....yeah...they are famous allright...my fish are in Brooklyn water and they seem to like it so we will keep it that way.
Lets see...on the celebrity watch, I met John Papelbon, the World Series closing pitcher for the Boston Redsox. Hes a nice guy but crazy hyper!!!!! Also I saw Olliver Platt (Simon Birch, Dr. Dolittle, Flatliners), Rachel Dratch (SNL and 30 Rock) and Seth meyers (SNL) all at the strike one day. Things were slow and we all thought it would be educational to go see what the picket lines looked like...dont worry..we had permission and no-one was violent.
Well, I dont have a whole lot more to report but I will keep up my blog more frequently for now on. I hope everyone is doing well in good ole GA. Miss you guys!!! Tyler

The Killer blog
So whats happened since I last blogged?.....HHMMMM....Well, being on TV was alot of fun. I was a mini celebrity for a week. Everywhere i went, everyone told me how good I did on camera and I was thinking..."All i did was be tall." "I didnt say a thing" So for being tall I would like to thank...uumm...God...and my parents because the genes came from them somehow. I have my fifteen minutes of fame to owe to my mom and dad. Thank you......Thank you.......haha....so taht was alot of fun. I had to go to the apple store for an errand and one of the assistant managers recognized me from my brave stunt. That was cool because it was someone outside of being friend or family or co-worker or one of the 50,000 random people i told on the street.....So, I cant remember if much else happened that week. My friend Jennifer came up this weekend and that was a blast. Jennifer, Phil and I hung out pretty much the entire weekend. Me and Spangs (Jennifer Spangler) went to see the bodies exhibition. Bodies is an exibit that showcases 22 specimens, real people, who have been preserved and displayed to give us a better look inside ourselves...literally. That was quite fascinating. After we finished pretending we were in an episode of C.S.I. we went and saw Tim Burtons "The Nightmare Before Christmas" in Disney 3-D!!! Then we went around and took goofy pictures. The next day we went and hung out with the Statue of Liberty and visited Ground Zero. So it was a very eventful weekend and has turned out to be a very good week. We are dark so there are no new shows coming out so everything has been more relaxed but I was enlisted, once again, for the Tony Mendez Show. They took me down to wardrobe and I was fitted for a costume....a Dave Costume. They have a Dave mask and I am dressed up in a suit exactly like his. So basically I am going around killing people for halloween. It was quite entertaining but I forgot all the work that goes into acting. Ive been behind the camera for so long, that I forgot what it was light to be in the spotlight...anyway, I cant think of anything more to bore you with. Ill let you know when the Tony Mendez Halloween special is on the web so you can waste some time. I miss you guys! Tyler

I was on TV!!!!
Wow, SO I was finally on TV. Actually I did not think it would happen so soon. I guess Im at the half way point but I thought it would take me a while to get on the tube. I was wrong. If anyone missed the broadcast then you can go to the late show website and look for "Intern Jumping". Basically, an acrobat jumped on a trampoline and did a front flip over 5 of the late Show interns. Then Dave, decided to up the ante and added a 6th intern. Needless to say it was quite entertaining. After the first jump, Dave interviewed Jake Gyllenhall and after his interview, he walked outside and once he saw us, he pointed like he knew us. It was quite humorous that Jakme Gyllenhall was excited to see the interns who were just on tv. I gave him my autograph and then had to get back to work...lol...
As, long as we are on the tpoic of celebity sightings, I had the pleasure to say hi and shake hands with Bill Hader, last Monday. He is one of the stars of "Superbad" and he is also on Saturday Night Live. The same day, I saw Kid Rock and Halle Barry.
Then today, I had to run an errand for one of the make up artists and when I walked up the stairs, there is Richard Simmons in his bright red get up. In an instinctive "How are you, hows it going?" I forgot that who I just said hi too was a man I had sseen on TV for years and now here he was looking as goofy as he does on TV!!!! He extended his hand and said "Hi, I am Richard." Luckily, I played it cool and said "Hi, Im Tyler." What I really wanted to say was "Are you kidding me!!!! YOur freakin Richard Simmons!!!!". I was able to control my mind and continue with the conversation but thats like meeting Robert DeNiro and he saying, "Hi, Im Robert" and your like....Of course you are....Basically, my point of this is that it is so weird meeting celebrities in real life because you dont know how to act. Everything you know about them is what other people tell you...its quite funny...you forget that they actually exist...like, they are actual people..ok anyway, Richard A.K.A. "Dickie" was very nice. He asked me what I did at the show and I said I was an intern and then I had to get on my way but, I must say, I was very pleased to meet him....and I told him that...I said "Its quite a pleasure"...but once again, I wanted to say, you shouldnt be here. I should be watching you on a screen somewhere.
Ok, so things have been pretty exciting so far and I cant think of anything else to report. I help with a podcast every Tuesday, that my good frineds nate and Trey produce so if you miss me so much that you want to hear my voice then you can go to http://web.mac.com/treyhockman and click on the Podcast. This is my plug for you to listen to three nerds for about half an hour. The Podcast focuses on anything from movies to music and video games and I give a brief description about movies coming out that day. So if your interested check it out and I will talk to everyone later!
