The best of times, the worst of times.

Last weekend I went to the American natural Museum of History..woohoo!!!! It was really cool and I took a lot of video and pictures and I have been meaning to compile a short video for your viewing pleasure but I jsut havent had the time (or the energy). But do not fret, as soon as I get it done it will be posted and hopefully you will enjoy it.

So its been a looong week and we only had to work four days! Since Monday was labor day, we didnt have to work and since we didnt have to prepare for a show for Monday, we also had last Friday off as well. SO needless to say, it was a four day weekend. With all that time off, it was tough getting into the swing of things on Tuesdy because we jumped into taping two shows.

Even though the week was long, I learned alot and I am realizing my place in this world. I realized this week that I love every minute of working in television, the good and the bad times. So even though it was a long week, it was a good week.

On a lighter note, Im on a first name basis with Paul Shaffer now. Yeah, as he was leaving the other night he stopped by and said good night to the interns and we all said "Good night, Paul." Yeah, thats how we role.

For a quick movie review, I saw "3:10 to Yuma" last night. I enjoyed it but as the critics keep saying, it was somewhat disappointing. THe plot was fairly simple, a poor rancher gets offered 200 dollars to escort a famous outlaw to a train to be sent to prison. I will say though that if it had not been for the character development of the actors, mainly Ben Foster, Christian Bale and Russell Crow, then the movie would not have been as entertaining. It also starred the "Easy Rider", Peter Fonda and "Wash" from Joss Whedsons "Firefly". So a pretty good cast. I think my biggest problem was, there was not enough action. I know, that could be the guy coming out in me, because the main point of the movie was not about the actio but about the relationship between the rancher and the Outlaw. Anyway, I would recomend seeing it. It is not infested with violence and language so its not unbearable to watch. Thats one of my pet peaves is when the cursing becomes so common that it seems like there was not even a script involved. But it wasnt like that.

Well, I think Im going to the Metropolitan Museum of Art today so I will get back to you on how that went and get that video ready about the Natural Museum of History. See ya later, Tyler
